The first half of this album, up to "The Fish Was Just One Guy" was recorded in the Hingston Hall A building of Concordia University in Montreal in or around early 2017. The second half of this album, titled "Sophomore Slump", was recorded in an apartment on Rue Sherbrooke in Montreal.

The concept for this album was to write and record jokey, semi-improv songs in only one take per song with little to no editing done afterward.
